A note from Dr. Bashyal:
The health and safety of our patients, doctors, and staff remains our primary concern. Our healthcare system can now accommodate addressing both COVID-19 concerns and patients suffering from joint pain. On a limited basis, we will begin seeing patients from May 4th onward while continuing to monitor the situation. To adhere to social distancing safety practices, we will only be seeing three healthy patients per hour who aren’t exhibiting symptoms. All patients and staff will be required to wear a mask, which will be provided upon entry if they don’t already have one. Our robust telehealth schedule will remain open, and patients are welcome to schedule telemedicine visits as well. Please call Dr. Bashyal for a consultation if you have been told you require knee or hip replacement surgery.
We are also pleased to announce plans to gradually resume hip and knee replacement surgeries the week of May 18th. Fortunately, our orthopaedic-only hospital in Skokie was shut down early in the COVID-19 crisis and has remained COVID-19 free throughout the pandemic. All patients will be pre-screened for COVID-19 before surgery.
Thank you,
Dr. Ravi Bashyal
